By Car: The M1 Route
From Rush, take the R128 or R127 towards the M1 motorway. Join the M1 southbound at Junction 4 , which provides direct access to the motorway from the Rush/Skerries area . The M1 provides a direct route to Dublin, with connections to the M50, Port Tunnel, and city centre . Follow signs for the city centre, then for Baggot Street Lower. We recommend following the Port Tunnel route to avoid city traffic.
Journey time: Approximately 25-30 minutes depending on traffic .
Parking: Street parking is available on nearby streets. There are also several paid car parks on Baggot Street and around St. Stephen's Green. Allow a few extra minutes to find a spot.
By Train: The 30-Minute Commute
From Rush and Lusk railway station (located about 2 miles from the town centre ), take any southbound train towards Dublin. Services run regularly along the Dublin–Drogheda line, with trains taking approximately 30 minutes to reach Dublin Connolly .
From Connolly, it's a pleasant 15-minute walk along the canal to our shop, or one Luas stop on the Green Line from Abbey Street to Charlemont. Pair of Shears is a 5-minute walk from Charlemont.
Total journey time: Approximately 40-45 minutes door-to-door—perfect for reading, relaxing, or catching up on emails.
By Bus
Dublin Bus routes 33, 33A, and 33X serve the area, connecting Rush to the city centre . The journey takes approximately 60-70 minutes. From the city centre, you can walk or take the Luas to Charlemont.
By Bike
For the adventurous, the coastal route from Rush to the city is scenic but lengthy—approximately 25km each way. Bike parking is available near our shop.
